StatementThe myths, rites and rituals of Hinduism are deeply woven into the fabric of Indian society. Even to the sceptic or non-believer, certain words and stories invoke emotions and impressions. Amavasya, the moonless night, conjures up images of contrast, flickering lights against darkness and an end against a new beginning. BiographyBorn 1959 in New Delhi, Angeli completed her Degree in Visual Communications, Graphic Design & Illustration from National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad in 1983. She has held her solo shows at Mumbai in 2006, 2001, 2000 & 1997; at Hong Kong in 2002, 2000 & 1998; at London in 2004 and Bangkok in 1995. She has also participated in several group show shows across India and abroad which include Harmony Show , Mumbai in 2007, 2006, 2005 & 2003, Visual Arts Centre, Hong Kong in 2001 & 2002; Contemporary Indian Art, Chicago in 1998. She lives and works in London. |
