K.S. Radhakrishnan

Born in 1956, Kerala, Radhakrishnan completed his B.F.A and M.F.A in Sculpture from Viswa Bharati University, Santiniketan in 1979 & amp; 1981 respectively. He received the National Scholarship by Ministry of Culture, Government of India in 1978 and subsequently, a fellowship from Lalit Kala Akademi to work at Garhi Studios in New Delhi in 1981. The sculptor was the recipient of an award by Birla Academy of Arts and Culture, Kolkata in 1980. His work has been exhibited in many solo and group shows including ‘De la Sculpture Contemporaine’ organised by Salon International in France in 1994; ‘Contemporary Woman’ at the Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre in 2000. A book ‘K.S. Radhakrishnan’ written by R. Siva Kumar has been published on his works in 2004 by Art Alive Gallery, New Delhi.  He lives and works in New Delhi.
